We've worked with Indian department store Shoppers Stop to bring an aspirational multi-brand flagship to a prestigious district of Delhi.
Opening in Gurgaon, the ambition for the four-story store was to make it a stand-out destination rooted in the heart of the neighbourhood. The concept responds to the distinguished location, offering a premium retail experience by providing customers with a place to relax and spend time as well as shop.
Our vision for the Shoppers Stop Gurgaon retail concept was ‘Elevating Everyday Life’: showcasing the brand’s premium offer whilst remaining accessible and vibrant. Layers of discovery throughout the store help guide and intrigue customers. Each department has been designed as a distinct destination, characterised with individual materials and architectural elements. Textural and crafted details add warmth, richness and humanity while elegant black and white branding and an overarching simplicity to the design help to bring the overall vision to life.
To redefine the shopping experience, the store has a variety of facilities for customers to enjoy. A new Personal Shopper Lounge can be found on the second floor, while make-up stations and a nail bar in the beauty hall provide customers with a place to relax and enjoy some pampering whilst they shop. The leisure lounge offers premium services and experiences exclusively for Shoppers Stop’s First Citizen Black Card holders. The store also houses a Time Zone – an amusement centre for children – to keep little ones entertained. A Starbucks is set to open within the store soon.
With a particular focus on beauty and cosmetics – the beauty hall is positioned right by the main entrance – Shoppers Stop has been reintroduced to the community as a sophisticated store delivering a lifestyle offer rather than just a shop. By partnering with other supporting brands, the retailer is able to expand its services, elevate the customer experience and attract visitors to stay in-store for longer.
