The Boot Room, Food & Cook and Pets departments have been revealed at Notcutts' Nottingham garden centre as part of the final phase of D&P's new concept.
The final phase of our new concept for Notcutts garden centre in Wheatcroft, Nottingham is complete. Three redesigned departments – The Boot Room, Food & Cook and Pets – now join the outdoors area and dining offer launched in late 2014.
The inspiration for the 5,300sqm store is a big country home, and the ‘room’ sets found throughout the departments create an element of theatre. There are beacons for each area – a dog kennel in Pets, a country back door opening out to a ‘garden’ in The Boot Room, and a larder-style oversized kitchen unit in Food & Cook. These large props all add to the sense of fun and surprise within the store.
This is our second project for Notcutts, following a 3,775sqm Tunbridge Wells store built from scratch earlier in 2014. The key brand values we established then – authentic, local, surprising and friendly – were still very much the basis for the Wheatcroft concept, as was the original brief, to create something new and different to shake up the tired gardening sector.
