Dalziel & Pow create new concept for Notcutts garden centre in Tunbridge Wells with a market-inspired dining experience. Dalziel & Pow, a leading store design agency.
As a result of our new work with Notcutts, one of the UK’s leading garden centre groups, a 25,000sqft centre has opened in Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells. Built in place of the existing site, it includes a ‘living wall’ on the exterior of the building. We have created a customer journey that conceptually mirrors the journey through a large country home and, importantly, begins and ends with plants, from the 14,000sqft outdoor Planteria department to the cash desk area located near the exit. The centre features a 190-seat restaurant, The Kitchen, as well as a separate food department, which includes a concession from local butcher Ian Chatfield and fresh produce from local farmers, brewers and artisan food producers. The materials used throughout the space are authentic and rustic, and the unique department signage brings personality and humour to the experience.
