I was in Carnaby Street earlier to look at Toms and Shinola, and happened to pass the Nike SB store so I took a look around.

I really like the way all the fixtures reference elements skateboarders use to ride street; hanging rails look like handrails ready to grind, plinths look very inviting to try that backside bluntslide on. I also like the community wall pegboard. Even though Nike SB is sometimes resented by skateboarders due to its corporate structure behind the scenes, this store design has given a lot of thought to the details that would probably be lost on a non-skateboarder. Nice touch.
