A group of developers from Nice and Serious have teamed up with the charity Shelter to highlight the insane cost of property in London. They say: “It’s a sad reality that many people who call London home won’t ever be able to afford enough space to swing a cat. We think this is wrong, which is why we’re supporting Shelter to campaign for change.”
They have created a website which works out the cost to buy a space that would be large enough to swing a cat about.
They explain their findings on the site too, assuming that the average length of a cat from paws to tail is 2.5ft and the average length of a human arm in a cat swinging position is also 2.5ft. Take a look at their ‘catculations’ here.
Type in your postcode over on catswing.io to see how much it would cost in your area.
The website is well designed and engaging, take a look!
