We recently held a Modern Calligraphy Workshop one evening here at D&P taught by the lovely people at Quill, London. The room was set up with a branded Quill tote bag over the back of our chairs, a hand written envelope with each of our names and our individual calligraphy starter kits for the course (which you get to keep at the end). The 2.5 hour beginners course started with the basics, getting set up and used to using a pen, nib and ink, and culminated in writing names, words and phrases.

Highly recommended, it’s a lovely experience and you learn a great new skill, well worth a go one evening – regular courses are held at their beautiful new stationery shop that recently opened on Amwell Street, London and other locations. More information can be found on their website here.
