The fashion and homeware retailer has been nominated in the Best Store Design under 50,000 sq. ft category.
We're happy to announce that our new high street store concept for Matalan, which launched in Bracknell earlier this year, has been shortlisted for Best Store Design under 50,000sq ft at the Retail Week Awards! Congratulations and best of luck to everyone involved in the project.
The new concept focuses on creating a number of boutique destinations within a smaller store footprint. The total effect is transformational, with no area left untouched, whilst retaining that distinctive Matalan offering of quality, range and value.
The ranges are brought to life in a series of smaller, shoppable spaces that reinforce the depth and variety of range, positioning Matalan as a place for discovery and exploration. Matalan's new Beauty offer is highlighted in its own boutique space, along with Home, Kids and Lingerie in their own signature areas.
Density has been increased in the Bracknell store through the use of more productive full-height dividing walls between the individual brand spaces, allowing for less volume on the floor and giving the customer an unrivaled experience in a store with a smaller footprint than the brand's traditional retail park locations.
Simplified communications and visual merchandising with bolder messages along with 'VM hotspots' combine to highlight the strong seasonal offers and the product featured in Matalan's 'As Seen on TV' ranges. The Matalan brand identity remains the same but presents itself in a fresh way that responds to the customer desire to shop Matalan's amazing range and value on the high street.
The Retail Week Awards have been recognising excellence in the retail sector for the past 25 years. Winners are awarded at the ceremony on 12th March 2020.
