I saw City of Angels at the Donmar on Saturday, and recommend checking it out. It’s a homage to 40s Noir, filled with all the tropes associated with the period and a smart story that sees a writer adapting his novel for the screen.

It’s a homage to 40s Noir, filled with all the tropes associated with the period and a smart story that sees a writer adapting his novel for the screen. As the narrative progresses the line between what’s real and what’s fiction are blurred as the process of shooting the story becomes the story itself. It features some fantastic projections, imaginative staging and loads of great lines.
