Chelsea in bloom. We take a look at the stores competing for The People's Choice Awards with this year’s theme was ‘The Summer of Love,” in tribute to the royal wedding. Store design by Dalziel & Pow.
While we may not have managed to get a ticket to Chelsea Flower Show this year, we can rely on a dazzling display of some floral goodness at Chelsea in Bloom.
Each year stores in the area compete to win the honour of The People’s Choice Award. This year’s theme was ‘The Summer of Love,” in tribute to the royal wedding and with a little nod to the swinging 60s. The event organisers offer a tuk-tuk cyclist to take you through the routes to see the displays, or you can grab a map online and walk around yourself. There were numerous in-store events, like bouquet making at La Perla, a floral feast at Rabbit or lovely floral caked cocktails at Polpo.
It’s always a treat to see how each one of the stores express their brand style in unison with the theme and… of course, creating some serious photo-worthy statements outside their stores.
I only caught the end of it but below are some of the ones I spotted on my walks in the area.
